If you come looking for Yelmesh Engineering Works, you have to head down to S. No. 16/1A in Gulve Vasti. It is right near the 'S' Block in the M.I.D.C. part of Bhasori. The roads around here get pretty muddy when it rains, so watch where you park your bike. Our shop isn't much to look at from the outside, just a big shutter and some stacks of raw steel waiting to be cut. We spend most of our time bent over machines or checking measurements on a scrap of paper. It is honest work. The guys here have been working together for years, so we don't need to talk much to know what needs doing. Sometimes the neighbors from other units stop by to borrow a tool or just to complain about the traffic near the main gate. We keep the machines running as long as there is work to do. There is always a smell of cutting oil and burnt metal in the air, which you get used to after a week or so. We don't do much advertising because people usually just find us through word of mouth or by seeing the sign when they are driving through the estate. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get things out the door on time. It is a busy place but we like the pace.
