Yankee Academy

At Yankee Academy, you can find us at Shivaji Nagar Plot No. 5. It is a simple building tucked away in a corner of the neighborhood. We have been running things here for a while, mostly focusing on helping students with their lessons and giving them a quiet place to study. The rooms are basic with wooden desks and whiteboards that have seen a lot of use over the semesters. It is not like those big fancy institutes you see in the city center with glass walls and air conditioning everywhere. We have a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day and some bookshelves filled with old textbooks that students can borrow. The walk to Plot No. 5 is easy enough if you know the Shivaji Nagar area well. We usually have classes going on in the morning and again in the late afternoon when the schools let out. Sometimes the street outside gets a bit loud with kids playing or vendors passing by, but inside we try to keep things focused on the books. Our staff are mostly local people who just want to see the kids do better in their exams. We do not have any big slogans or missions written on the walls. It is just a place where people come to learn something and then go home. We keep the registers by hand and manage the daily schedule on a pinboard in the hallway. That is just how we do things here.
