Mantessa English School

We are located in the North Court building in Kalyani Nagar, right near the Artsphere Studio. It’s a nice enough part of Pune, though the traffic on the main road can be a pain during rush hour. Mantessa English School isn’t huge, but we have enough room for the classes we run. You can often hear the music or the sounds of people dancing from the studio nearby while we’re trying to focus on grammar and speaking. The classrooms are basic with some desks and a board. We don’t have a lot of fancy decorations, just some posters and the books we use every day. People stop by after work or school to improve their English. It’s a lot of repeating phrases and practicing conversations. The staff usually grabs a quick coffee at one of the stalls downstairs between the morning and afternoon sessions. Sometimes the elevator in the building takes forever, so we just use the stairs. It’s a bit of a mixed crowd, some kids and some adults all trying to learn. We spend a lot of time just talking and correcting mistakes as they happen. It isn’t a corporate environment at all; it’s more like a small office where we happen to teach. We’ve got some old chairs that probably need replacing, and the lighting could be better, but we get the job done. It’s just how we operate here in the North Court building every day.
