Merry English School

We work out of G-7 in Popular Heights III, which is in the Koregaon Park area of Pune. Being on the ground floor is handy because the kids can get in and out without any trouble. It is not a giant school building with wings and levels; it is more of a compact space tucked into a residential complex. Our main focus is just teaching English and the regular school subjects to the neighborhood children. The rooms are a bit cozy, and it can feel a little tight when the classes are full, but we have made it work for a long time. Koregaon Park is a nice, leafy area, though it has become much busier and more crowded over the last few years. We have a small team of teachers who have been with us for a while now. They know the families who live in the building and on the nearby streets. We don’t have a big cafeteria on-site, so the kids bring their own tiffin boxes from home. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood throughout the day, like cars and people talking. It has a very local, community feel to it. We don’t spend any money on big advertisements or billboards. Most families find us because they live close by or heard about us from someone else. The daily routine is very set. We start early, do the work, and finish up at the end of the day.
