New English School is right on Tilak Road, which is one of those places that is always crowded and noisy. If you’ve spent any time in this part of town, you know the vibe. It’s old, it’s busy, and it’s full of life. Our school building has been standing here for quite some time, and you can tell by looking at the walls. It isn't a modern glass structure. It’s a solid, older building that has seen a lot of students pass through its doors. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. The classrooms are basic, the hallways are narrow, and the stairs are well-worn. Being on Tilak Road means we are right in the thick of everything. You can hear the traffic and the vendors outside during the lessons. We don’t mind it much; it’s just part of being here. The staff doesn't talk in fancy marketing terms. We just speak plainly about what needs to be done each day. Whether it's clearing out an old storage room or getting the kids ready for their exams, it’s all just work. We’ve got a routine that hasn't changed much over the years. We open the doors early, and we stay until the last task is finished. It’s a simple local school for the people who live and work around this busy road, and we’re fine with that. We just do our bit on Tilak Road and go home.
