Starting from the Virat Nagar Cross Road, we’ve been at 255/A Talwade for a good while now. It’s a busy spot but we manage to get through the day. Most mornings you’ll find us busy with the lathes or fixing up some random parts that people bring in from the street. We started out pretty small, just a few basic tools and a lot of grease on our hands. The workshop here isn’t anything fancy to look at. It gets quite hot in the summer months and the noise from the traffic outside mixes with the sound of the machines, but that's just how the day goes. We deal with all sorts of metal jobs as they come through the door. Some folks come from far away just because they know we’ve been at this specific spot for years. It is hard work, standing on the concrete all day, making sure the measurements are right for every piece. Sometimes we get old parts that are totally rusted out and we have to sit there and see what can actually be saved. We don’t have a big front office or a reception desk. If you come by, just look for the sign near the cross road. It’s usually just us in the back getting things done. There’s always scrap metal piled up in the corners and the floor is never really clean no matter how much we sweep. We handle things one at a time. That is the life here.
