Whispering Bamboo

Whispering Bamboo is tucked away at Sortapwadi 11 in Koregaon Park. It’s a busy part of town, but our spot stays pretty grounded. We started this because we wanted a place that felt like home, not a sterile showroom. Most of our days are spent dealing with the daily chores of keeping the place running. We check the stock, talk to the people coming in, and make sure the space looks okay. It’s not always perfect. Sometimes a chair is out of place or the lighting feels a bit dim, but that’s just how we are. We don't use big words to describe what we do here. We just provide a space for people in Koregaon Park. You’ll find us mostly in the back or near the entrance, depending on how many people are visiting. The neighborhood has a lot of energy, and we try to keep up with it. We’ve been at number 11 for a bit now, and we’ve seen the shops around us change. We just keep doing what we know. It is a lot of manual work and staying on our feet. We like the sound of the bamboo outside when the wind picks up. It’s just us working hard to keep things moving. There isn't a corporate office or a big boss far away. It is just the few of us here every day at Whispering Bamboo, making sure everything is where it should be. We are just local folks.
