If you find yourself at Kahina Vihir Chowk, you’ll likely see our place, Bharati Decor. We are at number 40, right on Tilak Road in Sadashiv Peth. It’s a crowded part of town, especially in the evenings when everyone is out and about. Sandesh Nagar has its own rhythm, and we’ve become part of it over time. The shop itself isn't huge, but we pack a lot into it. We spend a lot of our time looking at samples and helping people figure out what looks good together. It’s not like those big corporate showrooms where everything is perfect and untouchable. Here, things get a bit messy. We have catalogs piled up and fabric or wallpaper scraps on the table. Sometimes customers bring their kids, and it gets even more chaotic, but we don't mind. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s when we usually take a break to chat with the shopkeepers next door. Tilak Road is always loud with horns and people shouting, but inside the shop, we try to keep things moving along at a steady pace. We don’t use big words or try to sell people stuff they don’t need. We just show them what we have and let them decide. It’s a local business run by local people who just want to do a decent job every day. There is always someone coming in to ask for something small, and we try to help.
