Final Touch

Final Touch is located in Sadashiv Peth, right near Nani Chhipwad on Champaner Road 847. This part of the city is always busy with people rushing around, and our shop is tucked away in one of those older buildings. I spend most of my day behind the counter or checking on the machines in the back. We do a lot of finishing work and alterations for clothes that don't fit quite right. The floor is usually covered in little bits of thread and fabric scraps that I have to sweep up every few hours. It’s a small space, so things get cluttered pretty fast if we aren't careful. I’ve lived around here my whole life and decided to open this place because there wasn't much else like it nearby. People bring in everything from old curtains to wedding outfits that need a quick fix. Sometimes the machines act up and I have to spend half the morning fixing a needle. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps me busy. The neighbors often pop in just to say hello while they’re out shopping. The air gets a bit stuffy in the summer because the window doesn't open all the way. We keep a small radio playing in the corner to drown out some of the noise from the street. It’s just a regular shop where we work hard and go home when the work is finished for the day.
