Hiranand Overseas

Hiranand Overseas is based out of Nira, which is in the Purandar Taluka area of Pune district. It’s a bit of a journey to get here from the main city, but we like the pace of things in the village. We handle a lot of different things for the overseas market, mostly working out of a plain building that doesn't have a big sign or anything. Most of our work involves checking over products and making sure they are packed correctly for long trips. It’s quiet out here compared to Pune, which helps us focus on the details. We have a few local guys who come in to help with the heavy lifting and the loading. Some days we are just sitting around waiting for a truck to arrive, and other days we are working until late at night by the light of a few bulbs. We don't have a corporate culture or anything like that. We just sit together, have our meals, and talk about what needs to get done. The office has a few old desks and a lot of filing cabinets that are starting to rust a little at the bottom. We deal with a lot of different people from all over, but we still feel like a local operation. It’s a lot of hard work and sometimes things don't go as planned, but we just figure it out and keep moving.
