We are based out of the C/O S.S. Modak office here in Pune, Maharashtra. Being in the logistics business means we spend a lot of time looking at schedules and tracking trucks. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. The office can get pretty loud with the phones ringing and people shouting out delivery times. We have piles of paperwork on our desks and maps pinned to the walls. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, but we know where everything is. S.S. Modak’s place has been our base for a while now. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a place where work gets done. Most of us have been here for years, so we’ve seen how the traffic in Pune has changed over time. We talk about the delays and the road conditions a lot. It’s just part of the life. We don’t write big mission statements. We just try to get things from one place to another without too much trouble. Sometimes things go wrong, and we just have to figure out how to fix it on the fly. It’s a practical, everyday kind of business. We drink a lot of tea and stay late when the shipments are behind. That’s just how it is at Vrl Logistics Ltd. We’re just a bunch of people in an office in Pune trying to keep things moving. We do our best to stay on top of all the moving parts.
