Shri Balaji Travales Shoppee

Our shop is Shop No. 6 in the Rasik Apartment building. It is tucked behind the Dashbhuja Ganpati on Karve Road. If you know that temple, you know exactly where we are. It’s a busy street with lots of people walking by all the time. We started this little travel shop because people in the neighborhood needed a place to book their trips without having to go too far. We handle a lot of different things, like train tickets and bus bookings for families going on vacation or workers heading back home. It is a small space, so it gets a bit crowded when three or four people come in at once. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work on the computer. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to tell people to wait a minute, but they are usually patient. We aren't a big agency with dozens of employees, just a few of us who know the routes and the prices. Karve Road can be a nightmare for parking, so most of our customers just walk over from the nearby flats. We’ve seen kids grow up and start booking their own trips now. It’s just a regular local business trying to help people get where they are going. We don’t use any fancy systems, just honest work and a bit of conversation while we print out the tickets and check the arrival times for the buses.
