Vikhe Patil Memorial School

Vikhe Patil Memorial School is sitting right in Patrakar Nagar. We are very close to the Baramati Hostel, which most people around here use as a landmark. If you are coming off Senapati Bapat Road, you just take the turn onto Senapati Bapat Marg and you will eventually run into us. The area is quite central, so there is always a lot of movement on the streets outside. The school itself is a sturdy building that has seen many groups of kids pass through. We have some trees around the perimeter that provide a bit of shade during the hotter months. Inside, it is just regular school life. We have desks, blackboards, and a lot of papers everywhere. The hallways get crowded between classes. We try to keep the noise down, but with so many students, it is a bit of a challenge. The staff here mostly lives nearby or commutes from the other side of Pune. We deal with the usual traffic on Senapati Bapat Marg every morning and evening. It can be a bit of a headache during monsoon season when the roads get muddy. But we manage to get inside and start the day on time. It is a simple setup without many frills. We focus on the books and the lessons. People in Patrakar Nagar know us as the local school where the kids go. We are just a part of the daily scenery here in this neighborhood.
