Varaj Engineering

We’ve been at Sheeldutta Soc for some time now. It’s just a regular engineering shop in Shivaji Nagar, nothing too fancy. Most days it’s just the sound of machines and people coming by to check on their orders. We started small, mostly doing repairs and making parts when someone needed them. The address is A-10, and it gets a bit busy around here during the day. Sometimes the heat makes it tough to work, but we get through the pile of jobs anyway. It’s not a big corporate office with air conditioning everywhere. It’s just us working with what we have. Most of our tools have been around as long as the building. People know us in the neighborhood, so we don't really have to explain much. We just do the metalwork and hope the customer is happy enough to come back next time they break something. It’s a lot of grease and hard work. Shivaji Nagar is a good spot because everything is close by. If we need a specific bolt or a piece of steel, we usually find it nearby. We don't spend much time on the computer; mostly we are on the floor. That’s how it’s always been here at Varaj Engineering. It's nothing special, just a local business trying to keep things moving. We take the jobs as they come. Sometimes it's a lot at once, other times it's quiet. We don't have a big mission statement, just a list of things to do. The floor is usually swept but never really clean.
