You can find us on the ground floor, Flat No 01A, here in Navi Mumbai. Being on the ground floor is actually pretty convenient because we don’t have to deal with the elevators, which seem to get stuck in these Maharashtra apartment blocks more often than they should. The pin code is 410206. It’s a busy area, lots of people moving around and the sound of traffic always in the background. Our office is pretty small and a bit cramped with all the desks and filing cabinets we’ve squeezed in. We don't have any big corporate art on the walls or anything like that. Instead, we have calendars and notes taped up everywhere so we don’t forget what needs doing. It gets quite humid here, so the small AC unit in the corner is usually running at full blast, making a bit of a rattling noise. We spend our days talking to people and sorting through applications and documents. It’s the kind of place where you know exactly where your favorite pen is but can never find a stapler when you need one. We aren't some giant firm with hundreds of employees; it’s just a handful of us working out of this flat. We have our routines, our lunch breaks, and our gripes about the rain during monsoon season. It’s just a regular local business trying to stay on top of the daily grind in Navi Mumbai while we drink too much chai.
