Uptech Engineering

Uptech Engineering sits at Gate No. 274 in Nanekarwadi. You can't miss us if you're driving along the Pune-Nashik Highway. It’s a loud area with all the heavy trucks roaring past. The workshop stays pretty active from Monday to Saturday. We do a lot of different engineering tasks here. Most of us have been working with these machines for years. It’s noisy and there is usually the smell of cutting oil in the air. We don’t have a receptionist or a lobby. If you walk in, you’ll probably just see someone with a wrench or standing at a lathe. We like it that way. It’s a practical setup. The highway makes it easy for deliveries to reach us, even if the road gets blocked sometimes. We’ve had to fix the roof a few times after heavy rains. The floor is stained with oil, which is normal for an engineering shop. We don’t spend money on fancy paint or decorations. We spend it on keeping the tools sharp. It’s a straightforward business. We take the blueprints, look at the metal, and start cutting. Sometimes things take longer than we want because of parts being late. We just deal with it. The crew here is small but we know our business. We’ve stayed in Nanekarwadi because it’s where all the action is. It's not a glamorous life, but it pays the bills.
