Ganraj Engineering

Ganraj Engineering is located at Gate No. 119 in Jyotibanagar, which is part of the Talwade area in Haveli. Being in this part of the region means we are surrounded by other small workshops and big factories. The sound of metal hitting metal is something you hear all day long around here. Our shop is full of heavy machinery like drills and grinders that take up most of the floor space. There are metal shavings everywhere, and we have to sweep them up every couple of hours so nobody slips. We mostly work on parts for other companies, so we spend a lot of time looking at hand-drawn sketches or old pieces of iron that need to be copied. It is a lot of greasy work, and the cooling fluid for the machines splashes around quite a bit. The shop gets really hot in the afternoons because the roof is made of tin, but we just keep the big door open to get a bit of a breeze. People from the other units in Jyotibanagar often stop by to borrow a tool or just to see what we are working on. It is a rough-and-ready kind of place where things get built and fixed with a lot of sweat and effort. We do not have a receptionist; if you want something, you just shout over the noise of the machines.
