Vandana Tools

You can find us at Vandana Tools, right on the main road in Gaikwad Nagar. Our workshop is at Plot No. 302, and it’s pretty hard to miss because we are right near the Polite Ponorama building and that big PCMC Water Tank that everyone uses for directions. Dighi is a busy spot, and being on the main road means there is always traffic and the sound of horns blowing. We deal with all sorts of tools and hardware stuff. The floor is usually covered in some bit of metal or dust, but that’s just how a tool shop is supposed to look, I think. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, so we just keep the big front doors open to catch whatever breeze comes through from the road. People from the neighborhood and contractors from nearby sites stop by when they need something specific for their work. We’ve been here for a while and we know most of the faces that walk in. Sometimes we spend more time chatting about the weather or the traffic than actually selling things, but that’s the way we like it. The water tank is a great landmark because if someone gets lost, we just tell them to look up. We keep a lot of stock in the back, and sometimes it takes a minute to find the exact piece someone is looking for, but we always find it eventually. It’s just honest work here at Plot No. 302 in Dighi.
