Universal Tool

You can find us at number 8 in the Pimpri Shalimar Industrial Estate. Universal Tool has been in this corner for quite some time now. The estate is one of those older places where everyone knows their neighbors. Our shop is filled with all kinds of tools, some new and some that have been with us since we started. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand. We don’t really have a showroom or anything like that. People just come in, tell us what they’re looking for, and we find it for them in the back. The lighting isn't the best, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it doesn't really stop us from doing our work. We spend a lot of time cleaning and sharpening things, or just sorting through boxes of bolts and bits. Pimpri is a loud place with all the manufacturing going on, but we like the energy of it. We don't have a website that we update or any of that stuff. Most of our business comes from people who have been buying from us for years. We just keep a simple logbook for the sales and try to stay organized. It’s a quiet, steady kind of life here at the estate. We open up early and stay until the work is done, making sure we haven't missed any messages left on the old landline.
