Unity Engineering Works

Our workshop is located at S/229 in Bhosari, which is pretty much the heart of the industrial belt around here. It is a noisy place with machines running and metal clanging most of the time. Unity Engineering Works started out small and we have just kept at it, doing the same kind of repair and fabrication jobs day after day. We do not have a fancy reception area or anyone to answer the phones in a polished way. Usually, whoever is closest to the phone picks it up with grease on their hands. We spend most of our hours bent over lathes or welding stuff together. Bhosari is full of shops like ours, so we fit right in with the grit and the dust. The floor is concrete and usually has some oil stains, but that is just part of the job. We take in work from other local businesses or people who just need something fixed that they cannot do themselves. It is honest labor and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening. There is always a backlog of parts waiting to be machined. We do not talk much about goals or plans; we just look at what needs to be finished by the end of the shift. It is a practical environment where the tools do the talking. If you come by, you will probably find us mid-task, just trying to get the dimensions right on a piece of steel before the day ends.
