United Tool Room & Engr Works

Our workshop is tucked away in Parvati, specifically on Aranyeshwar Lane at 47/30. One thing about working here is you can always smell the spices because we are right near the Prakash Kolhapuri Masala Factory. It is a strong scent but we have gotten used to it over the years. Inside the shop, it is mostly machines and the smell of oil. We do a lot of tool work and engineering bits. It is a bit cramped with all the lathes and workbenches. Most of our days are spent fixing things or cutting metal to size. It is a lot of precision work, even if the floor is always covered in tiny metal shavings. We have been in this lane for a long time. People around here know us as the place with the loud machines. It is not a corporate office, just a gritty workshop where we get our hands oily. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside the lane and wait for it to come back. We have a few regular guys who have been with us forever. We do not really have a big sign, just the work going on inside. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going. We focus on the blueprints and making sure the tools come out right. It is a basic setup, but it works for what we do. The masala factory next door keeps things interesting, especially when they are grinding a fresh batch of chilies.
