Twin Engineers is located over at J-. It’s a plain building, nothing that really stands out if you’re just driving by. We’ve been working out of this space for a good while. The floor is usually covered in some kind of grease or metal shavings because there’s always a machine running somewhere. It’s just how an engineering spot should be, I guess. We aren’t big on fancy decorations or having comfortable chairs for people to sit in. Most of the time, we’re standing at the benches or looking over some old drawings. It gets pretty loud when the heavy stuff starts moving around. We have a small group of people who actually know how the machines work. Sometimes things go wrong, and we spend half the day just trying to get a motor started again. That’s just life here. We don’t talk much about visions or anything like that. We just look at what needs to be built and we build it. The neighborhood is mostly other workshops, so nobody complains about the noise we make. We usually have lunch together on the old wooden table in the corner. It’s a simple setup. We keep the tools where they belong, mostly. If you need something engineered, this is where we do it. No frills, just hard work and a lot of grease on our hands. We’ve been here long enough that the paint is peeling, but the machines still run fine.
