Travelers Point

Our place is located at Narayan Peth 353. If you know the Peth areas, you know how busy the streets can get with two-wheelers and people walking everywhere. The office is on the ground floor, so we see everyone passing by the door. It is a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we have a lot of files stacked up on the side. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes the paperwork just piles up during the holiday season. The walls are painted a dull cream color and have a few travel posters that have started to curl at the edges. We have a small water cooler in the corner that makes a glugging sound every few minutes. Most of the day is spent answering the landline or typing out details for someone's train journey. It is not a quiet job, but we are used to the hum of the city outside. Sometimes the neighbor's dog comes and sits by our door for a bit. We don't mind. The electricity goes out once in a while, and we just sit there in the dark until it comes back on, talking to whoever is in the office. It is a very local way of doing things. We don't use any fancy software, just the basic stuff that gets the job done. People know they can just walk in and ask a question without any fuss. It is just how things have always been here at number 353.
