Tasty Khana is actually run out of Wanawadi, specifically in the Chitrakut Society at A-203. Since it’s inside a residential society, it feels a lot different than a shop on a main road. You have to go through the gate and find the right block. It’s a quiet area mostly, except for when the kids are playing outside in the evenings. We use the kitchen in A-203 to get everything done. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze with all the supplies we have to keep on hand. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at orders coming in. Because we are in a society, we have to be careful about noise so we don't bother the neighbors. They are nice people for the most part. We don't have a big sign outside, just the flat number. It’s a very local operation. We do all the cooking and packing ourselves. Sometimes the delivery guys have a hard time finding the building, so we have to explain the directions over and over. It’s not a fancy office or a big restaurant. It’s just us working out of a space we have. We keep things clean and follow a routine every day. It’s a lot of hard work, especially when there are a lot of orders at once, but we manage to get through it. We usually finish up late and then get ready to do it again.
