We are based over at B 13 Kumar Homes on NIBM Road. It’s a residential area in Kondwa, Poona, which is a bit of a drive from the main city center. The building is just a normal housing society. We don’t have a big golden arches sign on the roof or anything like that because this is more of an office spot for us. It’s actually quite quiet around here compared to the busy markets. We spend our days mostly on the phone or working through emails. There are a few of us in the room and we share the space with a lot of folders and some spare computer parts. Sometimes the neighbors come by and ask what we are doing, and we just tell them we are working. For lunch, we usually walk down NIBM road to find something to eat, or we just order in if we are too busy to go out. The rooms are a bit small and we have to be careful not to trip over the power cables on the floor. It’s not a fancy setup at all, just some desks and chairs in an apartment. The weather in Poona is usually nice, so we keep the windows open when it’s not too dusty outside. It feels a bit strange to be linked to the UK while sitting here in Kondwa, but that’s just how it is. We just get our work done and go home.
