Swamiraj Toursim

Swamiraj Toursim is based out of Saj Chambers in the Shelarwasti area of Chikhali, which is located in Shivaji Nagar. We are situated quite close to the Congress Bhavan, so that’s usually the main landmark we tell people to look for if they are lost. Our day usually starts pretty early in the morning, checking on the status of buses or cars and making sure everyone has their itinerary in hand. It’s a small office, nothing too fancy or modern. We have a few chairs for guests to sit on and a simple desk where we handle all the paperwork and phone calls. Working in the tourism business in Shivaji Nagar means we meet all sorts of people. Some are looking for a quick trip somewhere nearby, while others want something much further away. We don’t use any polished sales pitches or marketing talk here. We just look at what is available for the dates they want and tell the person the price and the time. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing for hours, and other times it's quiet enough for us to have a long tea break together. We like the location in Chikhali because it feels like a real neighborhood where people know each other. We are familiar with the folks in the shops nearby. We aren't a big company with many departments. We just try to get the travel bookings right every time. It's just a regular local business.
