Suprahi Pattern Works is located at number 27 on R K Road in the Ramtekdi Industrial Estate. This area is full of all kinds of factories and shops, so there’s always something going on. We work on patterns here, which involves a lot of fine detail and patience. The air usually smells like wood dust or resin depending on what we are working on that day. It’s not a clean environment, but it’s a working one. We have benches set up with all our tools laid out. Some of the tools are quite old but they still do the job better than anything else. We don’t have a fancy showroom. If you visit, you’ll see the actual workspace where the patterns are made. The floor is covered in shavings by the end of the day, and we sweep it up every evening before locking up. The lights flickered for a while last month but we finally got the wiring fixed. We don't have many employees, just a few people who have been doing this for years. It’s a quiet place compared to some of the bigger factories nearby, except when the sanders are running. We just take the drawings and try to make them into something real. It takes time and we don't like to rush things if we can help it. The tea guy comes around at eleven and four, and that’s when we take a break.
