Sumeet Super Market

We open the shop pretty early every morning here at Ramnagar Road. Being in Shop Number 1 makes it easy for people to spot us when they are heading towards the Hanuman Mandir. Warje Malwadi is a busy place, especially when the sun comes up and everyone is out looking for milk or bread. We have been running Sumeet Super Market for some time now. It is a lot of work keeping the shelves full. One day we are moving heavy sacks of rice and the next we are counting tiny packets of spice. My back usually aches by noon, but that is just how it goes in retail. We know most of the people who walk through the door. They live in the buildings around here or stop by while walking to the temple. The shop isn't huge, so things get a bit crowded when the evening rush starts. We try to keep everything organized, but with so many items, it is a constant struggle. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the road for a bit, and we have to hurry up and unload. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going full speed. It is a simple life, just buying and selling what people need for their kitchens. We are right there on the corner, and the neighborhood knows where to find us if they run out of salt or soap at the last minute.
