New Baba Fataka Mart

Our mart is located at Andgaon Moin Park, right near the Bg Talav in Vatva, at number 1158-6. We are in the business of selling fireworks, so the shop feels very different depending on the season. During the months leading up to the big festivals, the whole place is overflowing with cardboard boxes. We have sparklers, ground spinners, and all the loud crackers that people love to set off. Safety is something we have to think about all the time, so we keep everything very dry and organized. The smell of the paper and the cardboard is very strong when you walk in. When it’s not festival season, the shop is a lot quieter. I spend that time doing paperwork or making sure the storage area is clean and safe. The location near the lake is quite nice, though it can get a bit damp when it rains heavily. We have a long wooden counter where we serve the customers and it gets very crowded when everyone is buying for their celebrations. I usually have a few helpers during the busy weeks because it’s too much for one person to handle. Most of our customers are families from the Vatva area who have been coming to us for years. We don’t use any loud advertisements, people just know where we are. It’s a simple business that brings a lot of noise and light to the neighborhood during the holidays.
