Step By Step School

Step By Step School is at 23 Godbole Colony. We are very close to the Annapurna Temple, which is where everyone goes for prayers. The colony is mostly houses, so it feels very quiet and safe compared to the main market roads. Our school is actually a converted house, so the rooms feel small and cozy. We have a little front yard where the younger children play during their break. Sometimes you can hear the bells from the temple in the mornings while we are doing our assembly. It’s a nice sound to start the day. Most of the teachers live in this same area, so we often walk to work. We know the parents quite well because we see them at the temple or the local shops. The walls are covered with some old drawings and charts that have been there for years. We don't have a big office or a fancy reception desk. Just a table and a few chairs near the entrance. In the afternoons, the sun hits the front of the building, so we draw the curtains to keep the glare out. It’s just a neighborhood school where everyone knows each other's names. We don't have big events or famous guests, just the daily routine of reading and writing. It's a peaceful spot in Godbole Colony where we just focus on the children and their lessons.
