St. Mira'S School

Our school is located at 10 Sadhu Vaswani Path. If you know the area, you know it is quite central and gets very busy. We’ve been at this location for decades. The building has a lot of character, though it shows its age in some spots, like the worn stone steps. We don’t mind that; it feels like home. We started out with a specific focus on girls' education, and that has remained our main thing. The atmosphere is usually calm, except during recess when the courtyard is full of girls talking and eating. We are not a corporate school with a board of directors in another city. We are just here on the Path, doing what we do. Our classrooms are filled with old wooden desks and blackboards. We teach the usual curriculum, but there is also a focus on being good people, which comes from the history of the place. The staff room is small and always smells like coffee and old paper. We don't have a giant marketing budget or fancy social media. Most families have been coming to us for generations; grandmothers sent their daughters, and now the granddaughters are here. It’s a simple, honest place to get an education without any of the extra fluff. We just try to keep things running smoothly for the students every single day. There’s always someone at the gate to help out if you’re lost or looking for the office upstairs.
