Down here in Chinchwad at Gulab Estate, Saphed Pool 3, we run Smart Travels Solutions. It’s basically just an office where we manage different travel needs for the local people. My uncle started this a few years back and I took over the daily stuff. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at maps to make sure everything is on track. It gets pretty dusty around the estate sometimes, but we keep the office tidy. People come in asking about bus timings or car rentals for the weekend. We don't have a big corporate setup. It’s just us and a couple of drivers who know the city like the back of their hands. Usually, we're here from nine in the morning until the last car comes back at night. We don't use any high-tech systems, just a big notebook and some basic stuff on the computer. It works for us. If someone has a problem with their booking, they just come in and we talk it out face to face. We find that's better than sending emails back and forth. Chinchwad is a busy area, so there’s always something happening. We just try to keep up with the demand and make sure nobody is left waiting too long. It’s a simple life running a travel desk.
