Working out here in the Hadapsar Industrial Estate is different than being in the city. At 24-A, things are pretty straightforward. We deal with Small Gauges and various bits of equipment every day. It’s mostly metal and calibration stuff, and the shop floor gets a bit dusty by the time Friday rolls around. We started small and stayed that way, which seems to work out okay for us. The industrial area has its own rhythm, with trucks coming in and out and the sound of machines from the neighbors. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. Usually, you just walk in and find someone at a workbench. The light in the afternoon comes through the high windows and makes it easier to see the tiny parts we handle. Sometimes the heat in the shed gets to be a bit much, but we have a few old fans that keep the air moving. Lunch is usually spent sitting on the benches outside talking about nothing in particular. We don't do much in the way of talking about ourselves; we just focus on the measurements and making sure the gauges are showing what they’re supposed to show. It’s a quiet kind of work compared to some of the bigger factories nearby. Most of the guys have been here for years, so we all know how the machines like to behave on a Monday morning. It is just a regular shop where people work hard.
