S. K. S. Engineering Works

We’ve been at this spot on Sinhgad Road for a while now, right near Nanded Phata. If you know where Ganesh Mangal Karyalaya is, you’ve probably walked past us a few times without thinking much of it. It’s an engineering shop, so there’s usually some noise from the machines and a bit of grease around. We started S. K. S. Engineering Works because we knew how to fix things and work with metal, and that’s pretty much what we do every day. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at, just a practical space where we get the jobs done. Usually, it’s just us figuring out how to make a part fit or repairing something that’s seen better days. The traffic outside on the road can get pretty loud, especially in the evenings, but inside we just focus on the task at hand. We handle a lot of different requests from people around here. Sometimes it's a small fix, other times it takes a few days of tinkering. We don't have a big office or a reception area with coffee; it’s more of a place where you’ll find us in work clothes. We try to keep things organized, but when you're working with heavy tools and materials, things tend to get a bit cluttered. It's just the way it is here. We’ve stayed in this neighborhood because we like the local feel and being close to the main road makes it easier for people to drop stuff off.
