Out here in Vadgaon Anand, things move a bit slower than in the city. Our workshop is at 199/10, near the Satellite area. We are mostly busy with engineering jobs, fixing parts, and making sure the local machinery stays in working order. It’s a dusty place because of all the metal grinding and welding we do. You’ll usually see a few of us in greasy overalls working on a lathe or a drill press. We don’t have any fancy office furniture; it’s mostly just metal workbenches and tool racks. The sound of machines running is constant from morning until evening. We’ve been in this spot for a long time and the locals know where to find us when something breaks down. Sometimes it’s hard to find a specific part, so we have to get creative and make it ourselves. We don't spend money on advertising because word of mouth in Vadgaon is enough. The roof leaks a little when it rains hard, so we just move the machines out of the way and keep working. It’s honest work and it keeps our hands busy. We drink water from the big clay pot in the corner to stay cool. It’s just a regular engineering shop where we try to get the job done right without too much fuss. Most of our tools are old, but they work better than the new stuff you see today.
