Shrikant Engineering Works

Shrikant Engineering Works is located at 585 B-9 on Sinhagad Road, inside the Kumar Ashiyana complex. It is a busy road, and we have been here for a good amount of time now. The workshop is where we spend almost all our hours. It smells like cut metal and oil most of the time, which is something you just get used to after a week. We do various engineering jobs, mostly involving lathes and welding. Shrikant started this place with just a few machines, and we have added a bit more over the years, though some of the original tools are still the ones we trust the most. It is not the kind of place where you would want to wear a nice suit because you will probably get a bit of grease on it. We work on parts for local factories and sometimes for individuals who need something specific repaired. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by the end of the day, so sweeping up is our final task before heading home. We have a small desk for the paperwork, but it is usually buried under drawings and rulers. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. People usually hear about us from someone else in the area. We just focus on getting the measurements right and making sure the parts fit like they should. It is steady, practical work that keeps us going every day.
