We are over here at the ground floor in Shastri Nagar, right near Phadake Haud in Kothrud. It’s a busy spot but we like it because people can just walk in from the street without climbing any stairs. We’ve been running this travel desk for quite some time now. Mostly, it is just us answering the phone and trying to get cars sorted for people who need to get out of town or just get to the airport on time. The traffic around Kothrud can be a bit of a headache sometimes, especially in the evenings, but we know the shortcuts by now. Usually, we are here early to make sure the drivers show up when they are supposed to, though sometimes they get stuck in the same traffic as everyone else. It isn’t always easy keeping track of all the bookings on paper and on the computer, but we manage somehow. If you are walking past the Phadake Haud area, you will probably see our sign out front. The office isn't very big, but it does the job for us and our visitors. We have some chairs if you need to wait while we check the schedules or call a driver. Most of the folks who come to us are locals from around Shastri Nagar who have known us for years. We just try to keep the cars clean and the drivers on a tight schedule so nobody is left standing on the curb. It is a lot of coordination every single day. Sometimes things get delayed because of the rain or road work, but that is just how it goes in the city. We keep at it.
