Shree Swami Samarth Engineering

We’ve set up our shop, Shree Swami Samarth Engineering, out at Sonawane Wasti in Talawade. It’s right on the Talawade Road, which is often jammed with traffic from the nearby IT parks and factories. Our workshop is in Gat No. 84, and it’s a straightforward metal shed where we do all our fabrication and machining. It’s a place where you’ll always find iron filings on the floor and the smell of welding smoke in the air. I started this place with a few tools and a lot of long hours. Now, we have a bit more equipment, but the work is still just as hard. We don't have a website that we keep updated or a person to answer the phones constantly. Usually, if the phone rings, I have to turn off the grinder so I can actually hear who is calling. We make parts for all kinds of local businesses, and no two jobs are ever exactly the same. Some days we are welding large frames, and other days we are precision-turning small bolts. It gets incredibly hot under the tin roof during the afternoon, but we just keep the water jug full and keep moving. We don't have any corporate mission statements or big goals to change the world. We just want to do good work for the people who hire us and make sure we can open the doors again tomorrow morning to do it all over again.
