Shree Kaluaai Engineering Works

Down in Chikhlee, things are mostly about manufacturing and fixing things. That's where we are. Our workshop isn't something out of a magazine. It's a place with oil on the floor and the smell of cut metal in the air. We do a lot of manual work here. It's not automated or high-tech. We use our hands and the old machines we’ve had for years. Chikhlee is a tough area for work, very industrial and straightforward. We don't have a lot of walk-in customers looking for small talk. People come to us when they have something broken or need a part made to a specific size. The noise of the grinders and the welding sparks are just normal for us. We wear old clothes because everything gets dirty within the first hour of the shift. It’s just how engineering works go in this part of town. We don't spend money on big signs or fancy brochures. Most people find us because they saw the work we did for someone else. Some days are slow and we just clean the tools, and other days we are working late into the evening to get a job finished. It’s a simple setup. We have a roof over our heads and enough tools to get the job done. That is pretty much all we need to keep going.
