Shree Datta Engineering Enterprises

Our workshop for Shree Datta Engineering Enterprises is over in Bibwewadi, at the address 629/2/2/A/2/4. It’s a bit of a long number to remember, but we’ve been here long enough that people find us anyway. The place is mostly filled with machinery and the sound of metal being worked on. It’s not a quiet office; it’s a place where things get made and fixed. There’s usually some grease on the floor and iron filings in the corners, no matter how much we sweep. We wear work clothes that have seen better days because that’s the nature of engineering. Our day is mostly spent looking at diagrams or running the machines. It’s practical work that requires focus, and we don't have time for much else during the shift. The building itself is basic, just bricks and corrugated roofing, which gets quite hot during the summer months. We usually keep the big doors open to let some air in and watch the local street traffic go by. We have a small corner with a table where we eat our lunch and have some tea. It’s not a place for visitors to come and sit in luxury. People come here when they have a job that needs doing. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get the measurements right. It’s steady work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes the rain leaks in, but we handle it.
