Our place is over at 211 Bhosari, in the area people call Dhariyur Dharwajabhar. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say, but it’s where we’ve set up our engineering works. The shop is a basic corrugated metal building that gets pretty loud when the hammers are going. We do a lot of repair work and some custom fabrication when people ask for it. It isn't a high-tech facility with computers everywhere. Instead, we rely on old-fashioned tools and the experience of our hands. My father started this kind of work, and I just sort of picked it up from him. We don't have a website or fancy business cards. People usually find us by word of mouth or by seeing the sign when they drive through Bhosari. The floor is usually covered in scrap metal and old parts we haven't thrown away yet. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought because the metal is stubborn or a machine breaks down. We don't get stressed about it, we just keep working until it’s finished. Life here is simple and revolves around the daily grind of the workshop. We have tea twice a day and talk about the local news while the machines cool down. It’s an honest way to make a living, and we don't have any illusions about being a big corporate entity. We are just S.D. Engineering, doing our bit in the neighborhood.
