Sapling Montessori Foundation

Our place, Sapling Montessori Foundation, is situated in B-403 of the Gateway building on Balewadi Road. We’re right near Mitcon College. If you are driving around the Balewadi area, you’ve probably seen the building since it stands out a bit. It is a mix of a residential area and some colleges, so there are always people moving about. We spend a lot of our time organizing things for the foundation. Being on the fourth floor gives us a bit of a view of the street, though mostly we are just looking at our files. It’s a simple space. We don’t go for anything too flashy because that isn’t really how we do things here. Mostly, it’s just the daily grind of making sure everything is ready for the teachers and the little ones. The hallway gets a bit narrow when everyone is coming and going at once. Sometimes the lift takes forever to arrive, so we end up waiting around and chatting. It is just a regular work life here in Pune, I suppose. We have a small kitchen area where we take our lunch breaks. The neighborhood has changed a lot lately with all this new construction, but we are still here at the same spot. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks and try to keep everything organized. It’s a hands-on kind of job, and we’ve grown used to the noise from the nearby road. Things keep us busy enough throughout the week.
