Sanjay Engineering Works

You can find Sanjay Engineering Works over in Janata Nagar, which is part of the Kalewadi area in Chandkheda, Ahmedabad. We are basically a small machine shop where we handle various engineering tasks for local people. It is a gritty place with the constant smell of oil and metal in the air. We have some lathes and drills that have seen better days but still work perfectly fine for what we need to do. Most of our time is spent hunched over a piece of raw steel trying to get the dimensions exactly right. It isn’t the kind of place where you’d want to wear a nice shirt because of the spray. We usually have black grease on our clothes and hands by ten in the morning. The neighborhood is a bit crowded, so there is always some noise from the busy street coming inside. We don't really do much talking or fancy presentations, we just get the metal jobs done as they come in. Some days are slower than others, which gives us some time to clean the tools or sweep up the metal shavings from the floor. We have been in Ahmedabad for a long time and have seen the city change quite a bit around us. Janata Nagar feels like a good spot for a workshop like ours. We don't have a big marketing team, just a simple sign above the door. People come to us when they have something broken.
