We’re located at Aundh 9, which is tucked away just enough that it’s not too loud. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful about where we put everything. Every morning I come in and check the windows for smudges, though they usually appear again by noon. The sidewalk out front is narrow, so people often cluster right at the doorway when they’re waiting. I spend a lot of time just rearranging the items on the counter to make more room. There’s a small radio we keep on a shelf that mostly plays the local news or some old songs, just for some background noise while we work. The walls are painted a simple off-white, though they could probably use a new coat after all this time. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. It gets a bit cramped when a delivery comes in and we have boxes stacked in the aisle. We try to get through them quickly so people can walk through. It’s a routine that doesn't change much from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes the lightbulb in the back flickers, and I have to give it a little twist to get it steady again. It’s just a normal shop in a normal part of town. We don't try to be anything else. We just open the door and wait for the first person to walk in.
