You can find us in Pimpri Colony on Gandhi Road. It is a very crowded and lively part of the city. There are shops selling clothes and electronics all around us, so there is always a lot of shouting and honking going on outside. Our office is a small storefront with a glass front that we have to clean every single day because of the exhaust from the traffic. We have a few plastic chairs for customers and a main desk where all the work happens. The walls are covered with a few pictures of gods and some old maps that have faded in the sun. We usually start the day by sweeping the front and saying hello to the neighboring shopkeepers. It is a very close-knit community here. We handle a lot of local travel and some longer trips for people going on pilgrimage. The phone is usually sitting on a pile of ledgers and notebooks. We write everything down by hand first before putting it into the computer, just to be safe. It is a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. The afternoon sun hits the front of the shop directly, so we usually pull the shade down halfway to keep it cool. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything, we just want to make sure the tickets are booked and the cars arrive on time. It is a simple life on Gandhi Road, and we have been doing this for a long time now.
