Sahara Aamby Valley City

Our office is right on the GT Road in Howrah, which means it is constantly loud outside. If you know that area, you know how the trucks and buses are always honking and the dust never seems to settle. Inside, we’ve got a bit of a sanctuary from all that chaos, though the windows still rattle whenever a big vehicle passes by. It’s a bit of an old building, so the walls have some cracks and the paint is peeling in a few spots, but it has character. We have desks piled high with ledgers and files because there’s always so much to keep track of. People come and go throughout the day, mostly couriers or people dropping off paperwork. It’s not a place where you’d come to relax. It’s a working environment through and through. We usually have a radio playing somewhere in the background to drown out the street noise, usually some old songs or the news. The light in the afternoon gets a bit dim, so we keep the overhead tubes on most of the day. It’s just a regular office in a busy part of West Bengal. We’ve been at this location for quite some time now, so we’ve seen the shops around us change and the road get wider, but our little routine stays pretty much the same day after day. Most of us take the bus to get here every morning.
