Our place is located at number 55 in Khondhwa. It is a pretty basic setup where we do our engineering work without much fanfare. Khondhwa has changed a lot over the years, getting more crowded and louder, but we have stayed right here. The shop is usually full of the smell of metal and a bit of smoke from the machines. We do not have a big sign or a fancy lobby. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they have been coming here for years. We spend our days dealing with various mechanical tasks, some small and some that take up the whole floor. It is just a group of us who know how to handle tools and read technical drawings. We do not spend much time on the computer unless we absolutely have to. Most of the work is done by hand or with the older machines we have kept running. It gets hot in the summer, and the fan in the corner does not do much, but we just get on with it. There is a lot of satisfaction in finishing a piece and seeing it work like it is supposed to. We keep our overhead low and our focus on the tasks at hand. It is a simple, honest way to make a living in a part of the city we know well. We do not try to be anything we are not; we just do engineering work for whoever needs it.
