Sachin Engineering Works

Sachin Engineering Works is just a small shop down on 49/16 Dhayari J P Road. I’ve been coming here every morning for years now, opening up the heavy metal shutters and getting the lights on. It’s not the quietest place because the machines make a fair bit of noise once they get going, but that is how it works. We handle various engineering jobs that people bring in, mostly small parts or things that need a bit of fixing. The workbench is cluttered with tools and some old drawings that we still use. There isn't a fancy waiting room or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably see me or one of the boys covered in a bit of grease. We have a small desk in the corner where the accounts are kept, though the paperwork usually piles up faster than we can file it. J P Road is usually busy, so there is always a lot of traffic noise mixing with the sound of our drills. We don't do much in the way of advertising because people in the neighborhood already know where we are. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons under the tin roof, so we usually take a long break for tea around four. It’s just a regular place where we work hard and try to get the orders out on time without making too much of a fuss about things.
