We’ve been here at Parmar Industrial Complex in Chinchwad for a good while now. It’s unit 148-149. Most days it is just the sound of machines and people talking over the noise. We do a lot of metal work and fixing things that people bring in. It gets dusty and the floors aren't always spotless but that is how a workshop is. When we started, there wasn't much around here, but now it’s packed. We deal with all sorts of parts and sometimes things get delayed because of supplies, but we try to keep moving. My brother and I run the floor. It’s not fancy. You won’t find a plush waiting room here, just a couple of plastic chairs if you really need to sit. We spend most of the time looking at blueprints or welding. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a break. People know where to find us because of the big sign that’s a bit faded now. Chinchwad is a busy place for engineering and we are just one of the shops making things happen. We’ve had the same couple of guys working with us for years. They know the machines better than anyone. If you come by, you might have to wait a minute while we finish a cut or turn off a lathe. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy. We just focus on getting the specs right for whatever job is on the table that day.
