S M Handicrafts

If you go to Hathi Mahel Market in Shukrawar Peth, you will find S M Handicrafts. We are at 1574/75, right across from King Paper Mart on Harni Road. It is a very busy part of Vadodara. There is always a lot of noise from the street and people moving around the market. Our shop is filled with all sorts of things we have collected. It isn't the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is. We spend our days dealing with various crafts and talking to the people who wander in from Harni Road. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to this market for years. We are not a corporate office with a dress code. We just wear whatever is comfortable for moving boxes and cleaning. It gets quite hot in the middle of the day, but we keep the fans going. Being opposite King Paper Mart makes it easy to give directions to people who have not been here before. We have been in this spot for a long time. The building is old and has a lot of character. We do not do a lot of fancy advertising. Word of mouth is usually how people hear about us. It is a small family-run type of thing. We just focus on the work at hand and try to stay on top of the inventory. Every day is a bit different.
